How to Prepare for Your First Spinal Flow Treatment
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and access to your back and spine areas. Jeans and Spandex/ Leggings are not recommended as they can limit the connection to areas the Practitioner needs to access.
Hydrate
Drink plenty of water before your appointment. Hydration helps your muscles, tissues and cells respond more effectively to the techniques used during a Spinal Flow Treatment.
Share Your Health History
Be open with your practitioner about any current injuries, chronic pain, or health concerns. This information helps tailor the treatment to your specific needs.
What to Expect During the Session
Gentle Introduction
Your practitioner will begin with a brief discussion to understand your goals and any areas of concern. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify expectations. There will be an Assessment done to look for areas that could be the cause of symptoms, Gentle movements will be asked for you to do and then some palpation of the Spine.
Relaxed Environment
The treatment takes place in a calm, quiet space. Soft music and dim lighting may be used to enhance relaxation.
Gentle Techniques
You will lie comfortably on a treatment table. The practitioner will gently work on your back, focusing on your spine, muscles, and surrounding tissues. The contact made on your body is soft, gentle & non-invasive
Mindful Breathing
You may be guided through breathing exercises to deepen relaxation and facilitate the flow of energy and release tension.
Personal Sensations
Some people feel sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. Others may simply feel more peaceful and centered. Every experience is unique.
After Your Spinal Flow Treatment
Hydrate Again
Drink water post-treatment to help flush out chemical stress and support the healing process.
Rest and Reflect
Take some time to rest and observe how you feel. Many clients notice increased relaxation or reduced discomfort immediately. Journaling and/or walking afterwards is recommended.
Follow-up
Your practitioner will recommend additional Spinal Flow Technique Treatments specific to your health goals to continue your progress.
Tips for a Positive Experience
Keep an Open Mind
Embrace the process with trust and patience. Understand that healing looks different for each individual and quantity of treatments will accelerate your healing.
Communicate
Let your practitioner know if anything feels uncomfortable during the treatment as this could indicate to book in again the next day to continue the healing process.
Practice self-care
Incorporate meditation, a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, journaling and exercise are all recommended.
